In the event of a local emergency or critical community alert, it's important to stay informed. We strongly encourage you to sign up for emergency alerts from both Weld and Larimer counties. See below for information on how to sign up for emergency alerts from each county.

Weld County Residents

On November 15, 2014, Weld County launched the CodeRed Emergency Communications System -- a high-speed telephone emergency notification service allowing public safety agencies the ability to deliver pre-recorded information to targeted areas within Weld County.

The system may be implemented in situations such as police activity in an area, a lost child (Amber Alert), wildfires, or any other incident in which residents in the immediate area and surrounding areas would need to take appropriate steps to safeguard life and property.

Weld County Public Safety Communications is now proud to support Text-to-911 services. Text-to-911 offers an alternative way of contacting 911 in an emergency, but please note it is intended to be used only when calling isn’t the safest form of communication or is not an option.

Larimer Emergency Telephone Authority, LETA, LETA911, is the Governing Authority for 9-1-1 in Larimer County Colorado.

LETA911 provides oversight to 9-1-1, the equipment, and the programs funded by LETA. Within this county region there are five 9-1-1 call centers, thirty government entities, one State University, and one National Park.
